Rocks of the Wild

On the side of the Preaching Pulpit, you can find the unique shaped rocks of the Wild Stones: the Great Cairn, the Broad Tower, the Bunko, the Hanging Stone, the Exclamation Point and the Throne of Árpád. The Wilderness Stones, which are composed of volcanic debris rock, or agglomerate, are a good example of the special features of the geological structure of the Visegrad Hills. The Preaching Chair and the Vadálló Rocks are part of the highly protected area of the Danube-Ipoly National Park, the core area of the Biosphere Reserve. The rocky meadows are home to many rare plant species, so do not pick flowers and do not stray from the designated hiking trail.
